|What are your success habits?
Finding enjoyment in what I do & being aware of my mental state. Something I commonly see in the startup field is how too many believe that the only way of finding success is putting yourself on the brink of burnout. Putting yourself and your well-being first is always a good thing to have in mind.
|What is the best advice you have ever received?
To treat your personal life with the same level of structure as your professional life. We’re used to setting goals, KPIs, or OKRs at work, but when it comes to our personal goals, having smaller or larger goals is rarely thought of. I try to set & follow goals for my time outside of work, whether it be for family, friends, finance, or even fun.
|What are you most proud of?
Consistency. We’re all looking for those big wins in life, but the smaller ones are the ones that make up for most of the time you spend working & keep you motivated to stay on track for the big goals you set.
|What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
Not sure if this would be surprising, but I’m a huge geek when it comes to data & research. One example would be for health & food supplementation, where I can read about something that gets mentioned in the biohacking community and then get lost reading about the latest clinical trials & see if based on tests it would be something that could benefit me to min-max my performance.
|What have you always wanted to try, but have never found the time to actually do it?
I’ve wanted to improve my Russian language skills & take up dance lessons, but at the current state, I’ve found myself with more work on my hands than before so I am setting my priorities elsewhere.
|What is your current challenge or goal?
Currently, my goal is work-oriented mainly – growing my team & improving my managerial skills as I come from a more operational background. Aside from that, our company is in a high growth stage, so putting a lot of effort into making sure my division follows this.
|What are your hobbies or activities to relax?
I try (sometimes during these times, it really only stays as “try”) to stay active. Physical exertion helps me also to keep my mind sharp and keep my energy levels up. Lately, I’ve been fond of exploring the countryside and getting a bit further away from the city to try to change things up a bit.
|How do you push through your worst times?
Having the understanding that you won’t always be at your peak and that it’s only a temporary feeling. Finding what you can and cannot influence and allocating your resources accordingly. Starting small – solving at least one or two smaller-scale problems on a daily basis to find gratification.
